Surgery steel 316L
Steel
Surgery steel is the most common material in piercing jewelry and very popular material in other jewelry, which are in contact with the skin.
There are different steel mixtures, but 316L steel is the highest quality option for jewelry use. The mixture is commonly known as a surgical steel. Surgery steel is a very strong and acid -proof material that does not darken or expense. Surgeon steel is a three -time harder material, which is a significant advantage in thin and small jewelry.
Contrary to popular belief, stainless steel alloys contain nickel, which, however, does not cause allergic reactions to the chrome and molybdenum contained in 316L material.
In our selection you will find in our range coated in black or gold and rose. Strong gilding on a surgical steel is good for use, but it is spent over time depending on the use of the jewelry and the pH of the skin.
